Ternyata bukan kali ini saja The Cityzens berkaitan dengan Century Goals. Berikut serba-serbi rekor 100 gol Manchester City.

Pasca kemenangan 4-1 melawan West Ham kemarin, City jadi satu-satunya tim yang pernah mencetak 100 gol dalam 1 musim Premier League dua kali.

Kemenangan itu juga mensejajarkan City dengan rekor kemenangan terbanyak (30) jika menang satu kali lagi City akan mendapat ekstra 3 poin dan memecahkan rekor poin terbanyak (95 poin).

City membutuhkan 35 laga untuk mencetak 100 gol musim ini – tercepat dalam era Liga Primer, sebelumnya Everton mencetaknya dengan hanya membutuhkan 32 laga pada 1931/32.

Ini bukan kali pertama Manchester City mencetak 102 gol – saat menjuarai liga 2014 lalu City juga mencetak 102 gol. Sedangkan Runner-up Liverpool mencetak 101 gol saat itu.

Rekor tertinggi kini dimiliki Chelsea dengan 103 saat mnjadi juara liga musim 2010 lalu namun City masih punya sisa 3 laga lagi untuk melampaui rekor tersebut. Minggu ini City berpeluang menambahnya dengan melawan klub yang terancam relegasi Huddersfield Town.

Persis gol ke-100 lucunya dicetak mantan pemain City Pablo Zabaleta yang tak sengaja memantulkan sapuan Declan Rice dari kegagalan antisipasi bersih kiper West Ham Adrian akibat passing mendatar cepat Kevin De Bruyne.

Manchester City juga satu-satunya tim yang pernah membobol dan kebobolan 3 digit gol dalam semusim. Pada Divisi Satu musim 1957-58, mereka mencetak 104 gol tapi juga kemasukan 100 gol – dalam 42 laga.

Gol Leroy Sane sendiri di London Stadium adalah raihan dobel-digit gol pertama dalam karirnya. Sane adalah pemain keempat City yang melewati 10 gol musim ini – bersama Sergio Aguero, Raheem Sterling, dan Gabriel Jesus – Pertama kali 4 pemain dalam satu club melewati raihan yang sama sejak musim 2012-13. David Silva yang absen pada laga tersebut menunggu bergabung dengan rekor tersebut dengan 9 gol sementara ini.

Raheem Sterling mencetak 3 assist pada laga melawan The Hammers dan membuatnya bergabung ke Top 4 pengumpan Liga Inggris sejauh ini – bersama De Bruyne (15 assist), Sane (12), dan David Silva (11)

Manchester City have set yet another record, becoming the first club to score 100 goals in a Premier League season twice.

The 4-1 victory over West Ham also saw them equal the record for most wins in a season (30) while three more points would break the record for most points in a campaign (95).

They reached 100 goals in 35 games -- the quickest an English top-flight side has reached the milestone in a single campaign since Everton in 1931-32, who achieved the feat in 32 games.

Pep Guardiola's side are now on 102 goals for the season -- matching the total when they won the title in 2014. Second-placed Liverpool also scored 101 goals that season.

They are now within touching distance of the record of 103 set by Chelsea in their title-winning season of 2010 and have another three games to achieve the record. They host relegation-threatened Huddersfield Town next Sunday and could set new records then.

City brought up three figures in not quite the way they expected when Kevin De Bruyne's low cross deflected off Hammers keeper Adrian and onto Declan Rice then Pablo Zabaleta for an own goal off the ex-City player.

City are the only English top-flight side ever to score and concede a century of goals in a single season. In the 1957-58 Division One campaign, they scored 104 goals and conceded 100 -- then over a 42-match season.

Leroy Sane had opened the scoring at the London Stadium to bring up double figures for the first time in his career.

He's the fourth City to pass 10 goals in the Premier League this term-- along with Sergio Aguero, Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus -- the first time four players from the same club have passed the mark in the same season since 2012-13. David Silva, who was given time off against the Hammers, also has nine goals.

Sterling got three assists against the Hammers to move onto 11 for the season -- and it means City now have the four leading players for assists -- De Bruyne (15), Sane (12) and Silva (11) also featuring.
